Are the treats grain-free? We offer some grain-free bagged treat options, Just ask for our selection!  Note: our decorative cookie icing is not grain-free as it contains dextrose, a sugar derivative of corn.

 

Are your treats Gluten free?

We are not a certified gluten free kitchen. We do not use wheat flour in any of our treats and our other ingredients are naturally gluten-free. 

 If you have any concerns about allergies feel free to email our chef at petchef@michaelsbarkery.com. and always consult your vet.

Are any of your treats Peanut free?  Yes! We do offer some peanut-free treats but we are not a peanut free facility and cannot guarantee that there has not been cross contact. Please be mindful when purchasing dog treats with peanut butter if their owner has a peanut allergy.

Do your treats contain chicken?  None of our treats contain chicken. We do use other meat products such as bacon, rabbit, beef, tuna, salmon, turkey, turkey broth, and /or beef broth in some recipes.

Do the treats contain any additives or preservatives? No preservatives are used. Our treats are baked and undergo our dehydration process that allows the treats to be shelf-stable for 6-8 months. This eliminates any need for preservatives or additives! The icing for our decorated cookies and our Dogfetti treats do contain gel food coloring for its vibrant color.

How long do the bagged treats stay good for? Our baking and dehydration process allows treats to last at least 6 months with proper storage (only if your pet does not eat them all first!).

Can I order treats in bulk? Yes! We sell our treats in bulk packaging by the pound.. Email petchef@michaelsbarkery.com with your request!

Can I order custom bagged treats (name, shape, etc.)? Absolutely! Please email petchef@michaelsbarkery.com with your request!

Do you offer any soft treats? We do! We offer soft treats in a featured case in our store! Call or come in to see what we have as it is always changing! If you also would like to order soft bagged treats (no dehydration) email petcheft@michaelsbarkery.com with your request!

Do you offer any treats for cats? Yes! We have 3 treat options made in house - salmon cheddar (with catnip), Tuna Carrot, and Pumpkin Flax (with Catnip). 

 

What if my dog is picky and doesn't like a particular flavor? Can I return it? Sorry, all perishable items including dog food and treats are final sale and we do not accept returns or exchanges. If something is wrong with your item, please reach out immediately.  Always check with your vet before introducing new foods to your pet. If you have a picky eater and unsure which treat flavor to try - we always suggest our woof pack sampler that contains 6 different treat flavors or you can always ask for a sample!

Boutique

Can I order anything from your boutique online? Not at this time. Our inventory is constantly changing with varying curated designs. Check out our boutique page for photos and some of the many brands we carry. Please come by our store on Daniel Island for top of the line brands for pet food, leash/harnesses, toys and so much more!

Do you only carry items for dogs? We carry toys and supplies for cats as well as dogs. We also carry pet themed gifts, apparel and home decor for you or your favorite pet loving human.

Can I order grooming products online?   Not at this time. Our grooming products are offered in-store only. 

​

Can I bring my pup to try on your leashes/harnesses? Yes, we would love to meet your pet! Our retail staff are ready to help you fit your dog for a leash, collar, harness or even a matching outfit.

Grooming

Can I book a grooming appointment online? Sorry, No, not at this time. Please call us to make an appointment 843-471-1199

 

What is your cancellation policy? No shows and cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may be subject to a 50% service fee of scheduled services and must be paid before next scheduled appointment. Exceptions for emergencies will be considered on an individual basis.

What is the difference between a partial groom and a full groom? Both include a SPA bath, brush/blowout, nail trim, ear cleaning, and gland expression. Partial groom includes head/face, sanitary and feet trim ONLY. Full grooms include a full body cut and style.

 

Do you offer nail trims? Nail trims are included with any appointment you have scheduled. If you have not scheduled an appointment, walk-in nail trims are available Monday-Saturday 9am-3pm with proof of a current rabies vaccination. Call ahead recommended on Saturday’s!

 

What is a De-Shed Treatment?  A de-shed treatment is required for most double-coated dogs. Groomers use a unique deep conditioning treatment and extensive brush-out improving your dogs’ hair quality and skin integrity.

 

What services should I book for a puppy? We recommend booking a puppy introduction and bath to allow your pet to get used to the grooming environment at a slower pace! Please note: a puppy's coat may be damaged if cut before the adult coat comes in.

 

Do you groom cats? Unfortunately, at this time we only groom dogs.
